The p.I1806N variant (also known as c.5417T>A), located in coding exon 37 of the NF1 gene, results from a T to A substitution at nucleotide position 5417. The isoleucine at codon 1806 is replaced by asparagine, an amino acid with dissimilar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be deleterious by in silico analysis. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear. -
