A different missense change at the same codon (p.Gly47Arg) has been reported to be associated with DMD-related disorder (PMID: 27122458). This sequence change replaces glycine, which is neutral and non-polar, with tryptophan, which is neutral and slightly polar, at codon 47 of the DMD protein (p.Gly47Trp). Therefore, it has been classified as a Variant of Uncertain Significance. This variant disrupts the p.Gly47 amino acid residue in DMD.
