Cardiovascular phenotype Uncertain:1
Uncertain significance, criteria provided, single submitter | clinical testing | Ambry Genetics | Aug 13, 2018 | The p.G18539R variant (also known as c.55615G>C), located in coding exon 153 of the TTN gene, results from a G to C substitution at nucleotide position 55615. The glycine at codon 18539 is replaced by arginine, an amino acid with dissimilar properties. This variant (denoted as NM_001256850.1:c.77887G>C p.G25963R) was reported in an individual with early onset dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and a family history of DCM (Waldmüller S et al. Mol. Cell. Probes, 2015 Oct;29:308-14). This amino acid position is highly conserved in available vertebrate species. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be probably damaging by PolyPhen in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. - |
