The p.I789T variant (also known as c.2366T>C), located in coding exon 12 of the PKP2 gene, results from a T to C substitution at nucleotide position 2366. The isoleucine at codon 789 is replaced by threonine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is not well conserved in available vertebrate species, and threonine is the reference amino acid in other vertebrate species.
