The p.P24350L variant (also known as c.73049C>T), located in coding exon 184 of the TTN gene, results from a C to T substitution at nucleotide position 73049. The proline at codon 24350 is replaced by leucine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is highly conserved in available vertebrate species. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. This alteration has been identified in one patient with arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (Taylor M et al. Circulation, 2011 Aug;124:876-85). Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -
