This sequence change replaces glutamine, which is neutral and polar, with arginine, which is basic and polar, at codon 998 of the MYBPC3 protein (p.Gln998Arg). This missense change has been observed in individual(s) with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (PMID: 15519027, 27532257, 37652022; internal data).
