The proline at codon 231 is replaced by serine, an amino acid with similar properties. This alteration has been reported in a catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT) cohort; however, clinical details were limited (Ng K et al. Circulation, 2020 Sep;142:932-947). This amino acid position is highly conserved in available vertebrate species. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. - |
