The encoded protein is one of the components of a calcium channel, composed of a tetramer of the ryanodine receptor proteins and a tetramer of FK506 binding protein 1B proteins, that supplies calcium to cardiac muscle. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with RYR2-related conditions. This variant is not present in population databases (ExAC no frequency). This sequence change replaces lysine with asparagine at codon 4183 of the RYR2 protein (p.Lys4183Asn). The lysine residue is highly conserved and there is a moderate physicochemical difference between lysine and asparagine. -
