Reported in 1 individual with LQTS (Kapplinger 2009) and in 1 individual with unexplained nocturnal death syndrome (Zhang 2016) who also carried a missense variant in ABCC9 (Zhang 2016). Computational prediction tools and conservation analysis do not provide strong support for or against an impact to the protein. In summary, the clinical significance of the variant is uncertain. -

This variant has been reported in an individual suspected of having long QT syndrome (PMID: 19716085). This variant has been identified in 21/250776 chromosomes (17/18388 East Asian chromosomes) in the general population by the Genome Aggregation Database (gnomAD). The available evidence is insufficient to determine the role of this variant in disease conclusively. Therefore, this variant is classified as a Variant of Uncertain Significance. -
