This protein forms distinct complexes with cadherins and desmosomal cadherins and is a member of the catenin family since it contains a distinct repeating amino acid motif called the armadillo repeat. Circulation, 2020 02;141:387-398). This amino acid position is highly conserved in available vertebrate species. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive.
