This variant results from an in-frame deletion of 15 nucleotides (ACAATTTTTAATGAT) at positions 5776 to 5790. This results in the in-frame deletion of five amino acids (TIFND) at codons 1926 to 1930. This amino acid region is generally well conserved in available vertebrate species. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be deleterious by in silico analysis (Choi Y et al. PLoS ONE. 2012; 7(10):e46688). Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear. -
