About phylop100

phylop100 0.0.1

Contains conservation scoring by phyloP (phylogenetic p-values) from the PHAST package (http://compgen.bscb.cornell.edu/phast/) for multiple alignments of 99 vertebrate genomes to the human genome.

PhyloP scores can be positive or negative:

Positive values indicate conserved regions under purifying selection.

Negative values suggest faster evolution than neutral expectations.

Scores typically range between highly negative and strongly positive values, depending on the alignment and conservation level.
