The c.1095_1101delGATTTCTinsA variant, located in coding exon 8 of the ATM gene, results from an in-frame deletion of GATTTCT and insertion of A at nucleotide positions 1095 to 1101. This results in the in-frame deletion of the isoleucine and serine residues at codons 366 and 367 (p.I366_S367del). This amino acid region is highly conserved in available vertebrate species. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive (Choi Y et al. PLoS ONE. 2012; 7(10):e46688). Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear. -
