This sequence change deletes 13 nucleotides from exon 12 of the PTCH1 mRNA (c.1709_1721delTGCGGGCGTTCTC), causing a frameshift at codon 570. This creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Leu570Profs*6) and is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. -
