This frequency is not significantly higher than expected for a pathogenic variant in LAMB3 causing Junctional Epidermolysis Bullosa (8.8e-05 vs 0.0024), allowing no conclusion about variant significance. c.2036C>T has been reported in the literature in individuals affected with Junctional Epidermolysis Bullosa, non-Herlizt type (Pulkkinen_1995, Al Zahrani_2019). These reports do not provide unequivocal conclusions about association of the variant with Junctional Epidermolysis Bullosa. To our knowledge, no experimental evidence demonstrating an impact on protein function has been reported.
