The c.481A>C (p.N161H) alteration is located in exon 4 (coding exon 4) of the PRDM16 gene. This alteration results from a A to C substitution at nucleotide position 481, causing the asparagine (N) at amino acid position 161 to be replaced by a histidine (H). Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -

This sequence change replaces asparagine, which is neutral and polar, with histidine, which is basic and polar, at codon 161 of the PRDM16 protein (p.Asn161His).
