The alanine at codon 29 is replaced by serine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is not well conserved in available vertebrate species. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. In addition, this alteration was predicted to be neutral or benign by multiple additional in silico prediction models (Chandrasekaran G et al. Sci Rep, 2017 Mar;7:43830). Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. - |
